You may be wondering, “Why should I have my photographer come to the rehearsal dinner? Is it really necessary?” I have a few answers. Maybe I’m a bit bias…but, here are my thoughts:

-How many times are your family and dearest friends all in the same room together? On the wedding day your photographer will be so focused on you and your beloved (as they should be) and pictures of your friends and family are minimal. The rehearsal dinner is a relaxed atmosphere that allows the photographer freedom to focus on your friends and family. They get awesome portraits for free and you get the “frozen memories” of having everyone there with you.

-You can relax and enjoy your rehearsal instead of worrying about taking pictures

-You can relax and enjoy your rehearsal without worrying about Aunt Sue taking pictures and cutting everyone’s heads off (We still love you Aunt Sue)

-and finally, if I am the one photographing your rehearsal dinner, you get the entertainment of seeing Dan follow me around with the light stick! If that isn’t a good reason, I don’t know what is!

To answer your next questions, yes, if I’m available I will photograph your rehearsal dinner even if I am not photographing your wedding.

Enough marketing for one post… Matt & Sarah had their rehearsal dinner at Cowboy Chow in Dallas. What a fun place! Dan and I will definitely be returning one night for some grub. The food was outstanding!
