Vicki and Peter…How do I even start this blog post?? Vicki and I have known each other for a while now. We go to the same church and I still remember her as being one of the most welcoming people when Dan and I first started attending. She is spunky, energetic, creative and has such a love for people that it’s hard to be around her for more than thirty seconds without smiling. I have not known Peter nearly as long, however, from what I know of him and our brief times together–I know that they are going to have a BLAST being married. They are both active in the arts. Vicki is a dancer and creative in so many amazing ways, her hand-writing alone could be an art form. Peter is a also a performer, check out his website Spoken Groove. He also is a business wiz, I really enjoyed picking his brain during our session. You can check his amazing business building skills here. Since they are both performers, we decided to incorporate the stage. Luckily, I have a cousin in show business!

These shots were taken at LifeStage Theatre in Grapevine, TX.

Vicki and Peter really made my job EASY. They were so cuddly and comfortable, I felt like I just had to observe.

Blue Eyes. Stunning.

Love. I am so happy for you guys, thank you so much for hanging with me for a fun filled session! I can’t wait to ATTEND and CELEBRATE your wedding with you! That’s right, I will be a guest at Peter and Vicki’s wedding and you better believe that dance floor has a few things coming. The last wedding that I attended as a guest was my brother-in-laws wedding almost a year ago. Oh joy!!!

Oh…I almost forgot to mention that we took a mid-session break at BreadHaus Bakery in Grapevine, it was SO yummy! They use organic flowers and their pretzels will melt in your mouth. You should definitely check them out.

  • WOW. WOW. WOW. Katie these are AMAZING!!!!!!!! My favorite engagement pictures ever, you ROCKED it! And what a gorgeous couple too (Love ya Vicki!). Im sure they are over the moon with these.

  • These are great, Katie. I love it when you shoot engagement pictures. Great use of light. I like the wheat ones and the backlit one.

  • [...] Vicki and Peter got married this past weekend and I got to ATTEND! I am always honored when a friend asks me to photograph their wedding, but I am even more honored when they ask if I would like to photograph or attend. Such sweet friends to allow me to enjoy their special day with them. I was not even planning on taking my camera, but I was driving back to Corpus Christi the day of their wedding from Fort Worth and had all of my gear with me because I had shot a wedding the night before. I covered most of my gear but I brought my camera and memory cards with me camouflaged in my Kelly Moore and I am SO glad I did. I have to admit, I didn’t snap too many photos and I have a twinge of regret because their wedding was just so awesome. That just means I am really looking forward to looking through their actual wedding photos soon and reliving the fun that happened. From the individually made wedding programs (yes you read that correctly) to the beautiful unique vows, to Peter singing the ENTIRE song of Celebrate Good Times as the bridal party exited it was an all around amazing wedding.
