I am about 3 months past due on my post-rodeo blog post. Some of you may remember my excitement. I love the rodeo, not so much for the actual rodeo show, but for the giant arena of as-seen-on-tv items (or similar items). One of my strange little quirks is my love for as-seen-on-tv products, sky mall, mall kiosk items…I think they are hilarious and awesome. Most, but not all, of my pictures are from the shopping part of the rodeo. I will talk you through my favorites.
My first quesiton… where is the exhibit hall?
Panning practice as always. I will master this one day.

This book was in the smaller exhibit hall with the cattle and other animals. I was actually really close to buying it for our guest bathroom, but I resisted.

Amazing artwork by local elementary school students.

I liked this little piggy.
This poor baby really wanted to go home with me, but Dan said no.
Our first big find. I can testify that we have been happily using our Snoozetime pillows for three months now and we still love them. I had been thinking about getting a memory foam pillow because my neck is always killing me when I wake up in the morning. I’m so glad we got these instead though. For one, we got a great deal on them and two, they are like normal pillows so you can sleep however you want and they conform to your head. No matter how your roll around, it always supports. (and no, I am not getting a commission for this).
On to more shiny things…
I mostly took this picture for Caitlin. Also (fyi) Caitlin, mom almost bought this for you. Sorry, you could have been blinging Paris but I stopped her.
Now this, this is a time tested product, World Optical Anti-Fog Glass Cleaner. I first got ahold of this amazing stuff about…oh…10 years ago at the very same rodeo. It is primarily for your eye glasses, but can be used on any glass. It’s a great cleaner, but it also makes your glasses anti-fog. I love it, so of course I stocked up.
For those of you who know me, you may be surprised by this purchase since I only own one piece of jewelry. My wedding ring. Well..technically I guess it’s engagement and wedding ring, so 2 pieces! I’m not really into bling, my ring doesn’t even have a diamond so when this woman started out telling me how it would keep all of my precious gems from dissolving (as apparently other harsh jewelry cleaners do) I really wasn’t aching to buy it. However, she cleaned Dan and I’s ring and they did look significantly better after the clean. This is also a world optics product, it’s called Lady Geneva Jewelry Cleaner. She also gave us a deal because my mom bought some, so hey, now I clean my ring a few times a week. It seems like a good product to me.
I took this picture for my dad. It was either I take the picture, or we stand their for 10 minutes trying to convince him not to buy it. This should give a glimpse into my father’s sense of humor.
The POODLE GLOVE!! I have two of them and use them all the time! They are my replacement to swiffers, plus they also polish and remove things like GREASE! Yes, grease. You spray the poodle with a little water and off you go. You can throw them in the washer to clean them. I love love love this product. You can also use it on your electronics (computer keyboard, tv, Stereo).

I did not buy this bench. However, if Dan and I ever move to the mountains and into a log cabin, I will come back for this fine piece of sitting-ware.

My parents bought this knife set for Dan and I last year at the rodeo. We were in the middle of registering and had looked at knife sets at stores, but they were all so expensive and we had no idea if any of them even worked. I was just about ready to call up a friend and get a cutco set when we stumbled upon these magic wonders. For less than the price of one cutco knife, we got the whole set, including a few bonuses. These knives are incredible. We use them everyday for everything from cutting up a pineapple to cutting a whole in our door for the doggy door. Ok…just kidding…but I really think they can cut through wood. It was one of the demonstrations! (It should also be noted that this same man is the one who sold us our knives last year)

Food. What can I say.
There were several different types of salsas, jams and soup mixes. All of the ones we tried were amazing. The soup is incredibly easy to prepare and excellent. Even Burt is a LOCAL business, check them out here.

Last, but not least, if I were to turn into a cowgirl–here are some of my boot selections:
I would be a hippy cowgirl.
I also enjoyed this part. Technically all of these things are a part of the Fort Worth Stock Show – I just keep saying rodeo because we go to the rodeo after the day at the stock show.
This is the rodeo. ..well…the beginning of the rodeo. I really want to barrel race now, I’ve been looking into it but practically I’m not sure how that would work out with my lack of time and abundance of concrete that I am surrounded by.
Molly & David joined us for the rodeo.
That last picture is awesome! I never seen anything like that!!
I LOVE that picture of you. I am also a big fan of your shirt. Your panning is definitely improving! Way to go, girl.
