For those of you not up on the lingo, that is “Out Of Control” which is exactly what happened to my friend Camille on Saturday. I was photographing children with Santa on Saturday and my amazing friend stepped in as my lighting assistant. She did a great job and I wish I could show you all of the CUTE kids with Santa, but alas, I do not have their permission…and I’m sure Santa would like his identity to remain secret. I hear there is a group of 4th and 5th graders trying to prove that he is not real! The nerve… Personally I was always terrified of Santa, I wrote Frosty letters instead. Since I can’t post about the kids, I thought I post the most artistic picture of the night. This is a reenactment of what actually happened a few times. It doesn’t take a tremendous amount of work to be my lighting assistant, but you do have to pay attention and make sure the flash is aimed at the subject and not your face.
