Can you guess where Alyssa is going to college next year?

I had heard rumors of “senior season” from other photographers, but this was my first year to truly experience it. It has been a huge blessing but also a tad exhausting. I’ve never had so many portrait session back to back and I am also RARELY booked for twice in one day. These last few weeks have changed that… Thank you in advance to everyone who has been patient with me if it has taken me longer than usual to return phone calls and emails. It’s about to get even crazier with wedding season about to hit and our big move to Corpus Christi. Exciting times! ….I just need to figure out a way to duplicate myself. I’m sure there are a few others out there that feel the same way. Maybe even more than a few?

The day of Liz’s senior shoot the sky was full of clouds and there were slight drizzles every once and a while. I had been watching the weather and was praying that it wouldn’t rain. I would usually cancel at any amount of drizzle, but since this session was in Austin I had a different game plan. I only took one lens, my 50 1.2 (my all time fave) and I kept my rain jacket with me at all times in case I needed to cover my equipment at any second. I ALWAYS have my shoot sac with me and at least one or two other lenses, so this was a bit stretching for me…but the shoot went GREAT and the storm held off for almost an hour of good shooting time!

Thank you Liz for sticking out the crazy weather with me. Congratulations on graduating, I know you will take the world by storm!

I really love this shot. I have to give credit where credit is due, it was totally her mom’s idea to lay down and Shelby was a trooper. No hesitation!

When: Dallas, August 10: Fort Worth, August 11 | Both sessions will be from 5 pm – 6 pm

Who: 10, 2011 High School Seniors per session will be accepted, with a limit of 2 per school

What’s in it for you?: Free Mini-Portrait session, 100 Business Cards (Wallet Prints w/my info on the back), 1-5×7 Print, 50% off a “real” portrait session w/me at a later date of your choosing and a $20 print credit for every senior your refer.

After evaluating my business, I have decided to focus on Seniors, Newborns & Weddings. In order to promote my senior portrait sessions I am holding a free mini/mega-session for seniors August 10 & 11. One session will be in Dallas (Deep Ellum) and the other will be in Fort Worth (Kimble Art Museum). I am accepting 10 seniors per session, limiting 2 seniors per school. The session is free, plus you will receive 100 free business cards, a 5×7 print of your choice from the session, $20 print credit for every senior that you refer and 50% off a full portrait session at a later date, which means you can take me up on this offer as late as the spring or as early as the fall.
