Vaughan + Ashley | Fort Worth Wedding Photographer

Vaughan and Ashley’s engagement session was shot at The Orchard in Azle, Texas. The Orchard was full of trees and fall colors which was so refreshing since I was coming from Corpus, the land of no trees and no fall… I can’t wait to see what it looks like in May for their wedding! I think I might have to have Ashley style all of my future shoots, she did such a great job with this one! From location to outfits, I am so in love with this session from beginning to end. It really takes three things to have great photos (excluding the photographer): Location, Wardrobe & Great Lighting, this session had 100% for all three of those things. When you add a gorgeous couple in the mix, it just gets better and better.

Love… This would make for an excellent canvas wrap if I do say so myself.

Ashley asked me before the shoot if it would be ok if they brought a more “dressed up” outfit. Of course I said yes. It’s rare that I get a Bride to be that is willing to walk around in a field with heels on.

I absolutely love all of the images from this shoot, but I think this last series is my favorite. I love comfy cozy shots that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Vaughan and Ashley love to camp together and I was so excited when she was willing to incorporate a little camp-style into their photoshoot!

This quilt is a family heirloom from Vaughan’s side of the family. I love vintage family quilts.

I had the pleasure of spending a day with Tiffani (of TiffC Photography) and spreading a little photo knowledge. It originally started with her having a few questions about my style, lighting and photographing couples (since that is mostly what I do) but I ended up learning from her as well. Iron sharpens iron. We spent the first part of the day talking and the second part shooting. Chris and Hannah were gracious enough to be our models (and they happen to be engaged).

Josh + Leslie Engaged

Meet Josh and Leslie.

Leslie and I have been friends for a long time. Like, since middle school. Unfortunately, life has not always lead us to live in the same city, but I am thankful to still call her friend today. I had heard rumors of Josh, but this was my first time meeting him. Leslie had talked with me a while ago about photographing her wedding and when I found out I was pregnant I can honestly say that among the many thoughts and concerns that popped in my head, one of them was, “I just know Leslie is going to get engaged and married right around my due date”. …Well, guess what? I was right. I am SO happy for you Leslie but so sad I won’t even be able to attend your wedding. Luckily fellow photog Rachel DeBell will be there to capture your special day and I cannot wait to see the pictures!

Do you see why I am so sad about missing this upcoming event?

Congratulations Josh and Leslie! Josh, I promise the next time we hang out I won’t bring my camera.

Hailey + Matt | Fort Worth Engagement Photographer

I met up with Hailey and Matt at Beaumont Ranch for their engagement session. I absolutely LOVED all of their cute outfits. They went so well with the atmosphere. I also loved shooting at the Ranch. Dan and I had purchased a Groupon a while ago to go zip-lining at Beaumont Ranch which is how I stumbled upon the location and I am so glad that I did!

I had the hardest time picking my favorites from this session to share on the blog and then even among my favorites I couldn’t decide between edits!
