I received an email from Gertrude two days ago. She and her soon to be husband James had taken engagement pictures a while ago, but they decided they wanted one new pictures to print as a large canvas print for their wedding. The problem is, they are both going back to Kenya (yes, Kenya! I know, this session was so meant to be…) on Thursday because that is where they are getting married. We scheduled the shoot for this morning (because I have a wedding this weekend and 2 portrait sessions before Thanksgiving – blog stalkers, get ready), but I woke up to a drizzly-dreary morning. We weren’t sure it would work out, but I seem to have this weird luck with shooting on rainy days. So here is to my two new Kenyan friends, Gertrude and James.

As you can see, we stumbled upon an amazing tree. I will definitely be re-stumbling for future sessions.

Off to Matt & Sarah’s rehearsal dinner and then wedding tomorrow! Thanksgiving will be a much needed time of rest.
