I was a hostess (a long with a few other fabulous ladies) for a baby shower this weekend. My friend Jen and I are strikingly similar in many ways, one of which is our love for tie-dye. I decided to tie-dye onesies and hang them around as part of the decorations. Of course…I waited until the night before to do this, which is how my Friday night turned into a craft night.

Of course, once you start the tie-dying process you might as well use all of the dye that you have. …so I tie dyed a few things for myself as well. My best friend really hates tie dye, so I’m excited to see her reaction to this post.

It just so happens it is one of Clementine’s favorites too…so it became mis-matched rather quickly after we got Clementine. I sewed on some extra buttons and a scarf (it’s cold these days) and viola, Howie was born.

fort_worth_photographer_07The best thing about Howie is, he was 1) free 2) made out of recycled materials 3) easy to clean up after he is played with. Other dog toys leave stuffing all around the house and I am so tired of picking up stuffing! However, I pick up socks all the time, so no biggie! I’m thinking about starting a Etsy store of random crafts…

I’ve never tie-dyed before. It looks like an interesting process! Don’t you just love baby showers? :)
